Frequently Asked Questions

Where do the sessions take place?

I am based in Paris, France. I work either on location or in rental studios.

Do you shoot in a studio?

I typically shoot on location - whether that is a portrait session outside, an event documentation at a dance studio, or in your place of business.

If you prefer to shoot in a studio, I will rent a photo studio at cost for the session.

What time does a session usually start?

If you are booking a portrait session, brand session or a head shot session, the time of day will be chosen based on your preferred location and in consideration for the season and light.

Summer (April–September): Early mornings (around 7–8am) are best for iconic Paris locations like Trocadéro, as there are far fewer tourists and the light is softer.

Winter (October–March): Shoots typically start from around 9am, as sunrise is later and daylight is more limited.

If you’re not keen on early mornings or busy landmarks, later start times can work in quieter areas of Paris. We’ll always decide the ideal start time together before your shoot.

What happens if it rains during my scheduled session?

Rain doesn’t automatically mean your session is cancelled.

Paris offers many covered locations, and I’ve never cancelled a shoot due to rain. If it’s possible for both of us, I’m also happy to adjust the timing or reschedule.

If you’re open to it, rain can add atmosphere, umbrellas, trench coats, reflections, and moody skies often become part of the story.

Can I have access to the RAW files?

The answer to this is exclusively no.

The reason is because each image you receive in your final gallery is hand picked as part of a bigger picture, your story. We choose to include or exclude an image based on our professional experience, and on the brand that we advertise. If you like our past galleries, trust us to do the same with your story.

Do you use a flash?

I typically work with natural light. As I am a documentary-style photographer, I prefer to remain unobtrusive and work with available light. On occasion, I will use a reflector, but I find flash/strobes to be very aggressive. During our session, I will choose based on the best light and help guide you to feel the light in a space.
